Creative cocktails and breathtaking views at Rock & Reilly’s Gastrobar and Restaurant

If you’re a Big Apple visitor staying in Midtown or are just on the lookout for a brand-new place to enjoy creative cocktails, delectable bites and open-air views of the Garment District, I suggest a trip to Rock & Reilly’s Gastrobar and Restaurant. The popular restaurant and nightlife venue, with locations in Los Angeles and Park City, Utah, has recently opened a new space in the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel.
Perched on the fifth floor of the hotel, the whopping 10,000-square-feet venue evokes the feel of a Prohibition-era speakeasy, with charming accents (think twinkling hanging Edison bulbs, as well as dark wood, distressed metal and exposed brick details), three handcrafted mahogany bars, plus plenty of places to relax with friends and family—from the comfy high-backed booths to the 8,000-square-foot terrace.
The setting serves as the perfect place to enjoy the venue’s upscale gastropub take on tried-and-true Irish pub fare, including Irish Nachos, with house-made kettle chips, peppered bacon, Irish cheddar, scallions and corn salsa; signature burgers stacked miles high with plenty of mouthwatering fixings; and knife-and-fork options like grilled branzino, jumbo scallops and pork chops.
Of course, you can wash down the restaurant’s crave-worthy menu selections with one (or a few) of its creative and classic cocktails—like the buzzy “Wake Up Call,” with Svedka vodka, espresso, vanilla, cacao, chipotle (for an extra kick) and cinnamon rim; or the “Rebel Rebel,” with Altos Plata tequila, Red Bull Yellow, Vida mezcal, pineapple, St. George raspberry and bitters—or opt to enjoy libations when the sun goes down and Rock & Reilly’s transforms into a swinging nightlife venue.
